SimplexCode's goal was to empower people to take their first steps into the tech industry. Educating people on basics, as well as showing them that tech doesn't have to be so scary.

The visual identity was to be informal, friendly and inclusive.
At the time of this project, this was hard to come by for
e-learning platforms, especially for coding & tech beginners. A warm and approachable approach was
the goal.

For the logo design, the initial approach was to combine abstract shapes and letters, but these were bland and unoriginal.
Also the use of coding symbols, such as the slash and semi-colon, to emphasise the coding/tech aspect. But there was no callback to learning & education side.

At this point, it was important to remember the core objectives of the organisation: coding/tech, educating & learning.
So two symbols came to mind:
- the brackets and slash symbol (coding/tech)
- the graduation cap (educating & learning)
And after combining the two....
